About
In Liz's words: Painting is a portal that mysteriously opens and allows me to convey on canvas many memories of the places I’ve called home, faraway countries that I’ve had the opportunity to visit and the people, plants and animals I’ve encountered along the way… real and imaginary.
I am inspired by color and its unlimitedness… bright, brazen outspoken colors that jump from the canvas as well as subtle colors that express themselves quietly. The end results of my experimentation with color are often unexpected and always magical.
The curved line has also been an important presence in my work. A curved line is not contained; it is not rigid. Like a dancer, it can express itself in graceful movements. The curve carries an innate sense of wanderlust.
It is my hope that you enjoy viewing my work and that it has brought a smile to your face.
My studio is located at the Center for Arts and Learning, 46 Barre Street in Montpelier. It is always open to visitors.
Join us at any of our music concerts to view this year's exhibition.
